“Strength does not come from physical capacity.
It comes
from an indomitable will.”
What is C2C?
C2C is an
acronym that stands for “Choose to Commit.” The C2C program was
designed to begin slowly changing the culture of the team to be
more competitive… a change in the behavior of the skaters, the
intensity of their training, the life styles choices they make,
etc. The C2C concept emphasizes athletic continuous self
improvement using science-based training methods where results
are measurable. The training program pinpoints each skater’s
individual starting point and prescribes training that will
allow the skater to progress quickly. The program is presented
in a way that’s easy to understand and simple to follow. The
program is structured, progressive and addresses all the pieces
of the training puzzle, fit together to form the big picture.
Why C2C?
It’s simple…
to bring structure and organization that advances performance to
the team. The C2C concept will help the coaches change the
“culture” of the team so that we have more skaters concentrating
on competitive goals that reach beyond Regional competition. It
is structured to focus primarily on behavioral goals at first
(proper eating, rest & recovery, disciplined training habits,
etc.). It’s only after a skater is disciplined to commit to the
basics that he or she will be able to handle the demands and
stress placed on them physically and mentally through
participation in later stages of the C2C program. The cultural
“atmosphere” of the program emphasizes integrity, teamwork;
cohesiveness and fair play… inclusion of these traits are
designed to teach skaters those character traits that will
propel their success far beyond our sport in the greater game of
life.

Who is the
Program For?
Any Team Fast
skater can participate provided they (and their parents) agree
to the programs guidelines. The initial athletic assessment will
determine each skater’s “beginning point.” It is an aggressive
program designed to provide exceptional results in a short
period of time. Skaters who complete all three phases will
qualify to wear the new Team Fast Elite uniform and will also
earn their Level 1 Achievement designation.
