Trophee Des 3 Pistes!

Paris and Southern France

March 31 - April 7 2010

 


If you would like to be a part of the trip to France please contact Coach Steve right away to make arrangements

to turn in your $100 deposit. The deposits and registration forms will be sent the tour director on October 1st. See below for all the details.

There may be spots available closer to the trip if there are some cancellations so if you decide later that you want to go, we can check to

 see if there are any openings.

 

What: 24th Annual Trophee Des Trois Pistes
When: March 31st - April 7th
 
The USA Speed Skating Tour and the Federation Francaise de Roller Skating invite you to experience the thrill of International Speed Skating competition while enjoying the sites of Paris and Southern France as you compete in the 24th edition 2010 TROPHEE DES 3 PISTES!
 
When competing in the Trophee des 3 Pistes, you will race on 3 of Southern France's most famous tracks. Visit and compete with more than 1000 skaters in three different cities in 3 days over Easter weekend. Site seeing in Paris and South France is included as you experience the education and exhilaration that International Speed Skating provides.

6-11am Everyone must arrive at CDG Airport - Terminal 2C in Paris

10:00pm Sleeper train to Toulouse

 

Friday April 2, 2010

Early morning - Arrive in Toulouse

Bus to Carcassonne (Medieval City)

Late afternoon - Check in hotel

Evening - Practice and dinner in Pibrac

 

Saturday April 3, 2010

Morning - Go to track in Pibrac

Afternoon thru Evening - Races

 

Sunday April 4, 2010

Early morning - check out of hotel

1. How many people can go to the Trophee Des 3 Pistes?
 
The tour for 2010 is limited to 50 total - 35 skaters, 7 coaches & staff and 8 parents.
 
2. How much does it cost excluding air fare?
 
The exchange rates between the Euro and the Dollar has forced the USA Speed Skating Tour to increase the cost to $600 this year. This includes: TGV Train, chartered bus, Metro (subway in Paris). All site seeing costs including Eiffel Tower, Cathedral of Notre Dame, Louvre, Carcassonne, and more! Unique USA Speed Skating Tour uniform, souvenir T-shirt, breakfast during all competition and all entry fees and last night's hotel in Paris.
 
3. How much was the air fare from USA to Paris Charles de Gaulie airport last year?
 
Average of $500 per round trip.
 
4. What specific expenses are covered by the promoter?
 
The promoter will pay for the skaters and coaches hotel expenses (3 per room) for Friday - Monday nights, Meals at the track Saturday - Monday. Parents rooms and meals are extra.
 
5. What are the age groups what are the distances for each track?
 
Super Mini(6 and under) - 500 meters
Mini Filles and Garcons (7 & 8) - 500/800 meters
Poussines (9 & 10) - 1000/2000 meters
Benjamines (11 & 12) -  2000/3000 meters
Minimes Filles (girls 13 & 14) - 5000/3000/2000 meters
Minimes Garcons ( boys 13 & 14) -  10,000/5000/3000 meters
Cadettes (girls 15 & 16) - 5000/3000/2000 meters
Cadets (boys 15 & 16) - 10,000/8000/3000 meters
Junior Hommes (men 17 & 18) 10,000/5000 meters
Sr Dames ' A & B' (17 & older) 5000/3000 meters
Sr Hommes 'A & B' (18 & older) 10,000/5000 meters
** Elimination Races for Cadets, Jr, Sr A & B
 
6. How old must the skaters be to go with the tour and compete in the Trophee Des 3 Pistes?
 
Anyone over the age of 6, however, the Trophee des 3 Psites and the USA World Tour requires skaters under 14 to be accompanied by one parent or their coach.
 
7. How and when do I register for the 2010 Tour? Is there a deposit required to hold my spot?
 
The Tour can only invite 50 total people (not just Team FAST....skaters from teams all over the country are invited to register) The spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis. A $100 depoit is required when you turn in the registration form. Contact Coach
Steve Legier  as soon as possible to get your registration form if you want to go.
